Are there any technical requirements?

Every SnapComms user (desktop and mobile) must have an internet connection. Check these articles for Minimum System Requirements and SnapComms Desktop Application and Network Safe Listing Requirements.

When can I migrate?

Now - speak with your Customer Success Manager to start preparing. The steps are straightforward and we can help you throughout the process.

How long will it take to migrate to the cloud?

This typically depends on the availability of your IT team but, the process is simple, we can set up a cloud instance for you in minutes! Once your instance is set up, we will work with you to ensure you are fully proficient using the SnapComms Cloud solution. We'll need to allocate some time to install a new SnapComms App but, after this - you're ready to go!

What is the cost of migrating?

SnapComms cloud licenses can have a different cost structure to your current licenses, however, by moving to the cloud your infrastructure and maintenance costs will be removed and your SnapComms management simplified. Talk to your Customer Success Manager for more details.

Will I lose control of my Personal Identifiable Information (PII)?

We have implemented a comprehensive control landscape (both technical and process controls) to protect customers' PII. View our Compliance Regulations and Certifications.

In addition, the number of PII-related attributes stored and processed in the cloud can be configured through the SnapComms Content Manager.

Will I lose my reports and all my historical content?

You can export both of these items in a human-readable format, such as PDF, for documentation purposes.

Will I have to recreate all my existing content templates?

Contents created using legacy channels cannot be migrated to the cloud. Your Customer Success Manager can help you set up new templates.

Will there be too much bandwidth consumption?

For anyone considering migration, we offer a consultation meeting with our Professional Services team. Our experts will provide recommendations regarding bandwidth usage based on your business requirements and technical constraints. In addition, the cloud-based version of SnapComms is equipped with a Content Delivery Network (CDN), specifically designed for the delivery of large content.

Where will my data be stored?

You have the option to store your data in the US, Canada, UK, Europe, and Australia.

Can SnapComms employees access my data?

Only SnapComms employees that require access for troubleshooting or to ensure you maximize your usage of the SNapComms platform will be able to access your data. We will only do this with your permission and all requests are logged through our change management system.

Will third parties be able to access my data?

No, SnapComms takes great care as per industry best practices to safeguard your data.
