Targeting Options Overview

OVERVIEW

Correctly defining target audiences for messages sent via SnapComms is key to ensuring employee engagement and overall success of your communication strategy. SnapComms offers a wide range of targeting methods to ensure you reach the right people.

TARGETING OPTIONS

SnapComms offers six types of targeting for all message types:

  1. Whole Organization

  2. Attributes

  3. Groups and Users

  4. Target Sets

  5. Just send to me

  6. Advanced Targeting

    1. Users only (includes Machine Based Targeting)

    2. Groups only

    3. Groups and Users

    4. Organizational Units

    5. Target Sets

The options are mutually exclusive, meaning only one can be used at a time. If you choose Groups only, for example, and wish to target specific Users as well, you will need to use Groups and Users instead.

The initial view after clicking on Targets allows the Content Creator to easily select from our most popular Targeting types.

The number of unique Users and Machines targeted by any of the Targeting types above will be displayed next to the Apply button.

To access other options, click the Use advanced targeting switch.

WHOLE ORGANIZATION

This option enables you to target everyone in your organization that has the SnapComms App installed.

ATTRIBUTES

Please refer to the Attribute Targeting article.

GROUPS AND USERS

TARGET SETS

This option allows you to select one or more Target Sets previously created in Target Sets under Advanced Targeting.
