OVERVIEW
SnapComms' Newsletter allows Content Administrators to create eye-catching digital content that can be pushed to all staff on multiple devices.
The Newsletter Channel is only available in the Engage Package. Please contact your Customer Success Manager should you wish to inquire further.
CREATING A NEWSLETTER

Click on Create Content

Select Build Your Own and choose Newsletter

Select your layout template
-
Select your theme
-
Select a folder to save it in and give your Newsletter a name:
NEWSLETTER LAYOUT
The initial layout of the Newsletter is chosen in the create content screen. Each layout is made up of a canvas that is 800 pixels wide with a default padding of 30 pixels.
Note: When using the Two Column newsletter, if the selected Text Direction (under the Display settings) is Right to Left, the columns will be flipped. Any existing text/image on the left hand column will now be moved to the right hand column.
The Left Sidebar and Right Sidebar newsletters will not have the columns flipped.
DESIGNER MODE
The initial view shows your selected layout with some placeholder text and a summary of all settings.
To customize layout and content click on the Designer Icon:
You can now click within the placeholders to remove or alter the content there, delete the placeholders and add your own containers, using the Drag and Drop tools.
To add new content containers, drag the content type from the Drag and Drop menu and place it where required on the Canvas.
To return to the Summary view, click on "done" on the bottom right of the canvas.
HOW TO CREATE A TABLE OF CONTENTS
If your Newsletter is long you may wish to provide readers with a Table of Contents or similar internal navigation links.
Once the layout and content of your Newsletter are complete, follow these steps to add a Table of Contents:

Add a Text Area via the Drag and Drop tools to the location where you want the Navigation to appear.

Within the new text area, add the text that you want to form the internal link (e.g. The title of the article you will be linking to).
Note: The Text format needs to be either: Heading 1, Heading 2 or Heading 3 to be visible in the link selector. -
In the Text toolbar, select the Anchor icon:

In the wireframe, pop-up select the article heading you want the link to take the user to. If you wish to link to a Video or Image, then select the correct Content Container from the wireframe.
Note: The headings displayed in the wireframe are picked from text formatted as headings/titles in the newsletter.
PREVIEWING AND PUBLISHING THE NEWSLETTER
Use the Preview button to see how the Newsletter will appear to your end-users:
Once you are comfortable with your Newsletter, press the Publish button to send it to your chosen Targets:
