Important note - From v24.2.447 We are discontinuing support for Windows 7 due to security and compatibility reasons. If your organization is using Windows 7, please refrain from further upgrading your SnapComms Windows App.

• The app now gracefully defaults to the built-in CEF rendering engine if WebView2 is not available or accessible on the machine.

The release contains a workaround which resolves compatibility issues with devices running WebView2 v121, causing the SnapComms Windows app to crash when attempting to play videos. If your organization utilizes SnapComms for video distribution and encounters crashes due to having WebView2 v121, please see here for more details.

• You can now define the default notification suppression behavior.
  
  • The default behavior is to suppress notifications only when there are full-screen applications in the foreground.
  • This can now be managed via the Registry. If your business has requirements to change the default suppression behavior, please get in touch with our Tech Support team.
• Smart sizing of dynamic lock screens.
  • The app will now take into account the dimensions of the primary monitor of the machine it's running on and resize the published lock screen accordingly to prevent the loss of resolution.
• Accessibility improvement
  • You can now navigate between the menu items under app settings using keyboard arrow keys (up and down).
    
    

Resolved Issues:

• Company logo no longer overlaps with buttons inside the header when app window is small.
• App no longer crashes when misconfigured values for "User & Machine Information collection method" are published from Content Manager.

  • Color contrast of tab titles.
  • Previously, users with disabilities had no way to access the settings dialog if the app was not in accessibility mode. They can now access the settings dialog by right clicking on the system tray icon and selecting "Settings".
  • Removed flickering of the cursor when it moves across clickable areas.
  • Smoother resizing experience of the Message History window.

Resolved Issues:

• Improved security to prevent privilege escalation during the app update process.
• Removed the background color which unexpectedly appears behind some messages when their window is being resized.

• When multiple lock screens were published, the newest lock screen was not being displayed every time.
• When a published lock screen was updated and republished, the updated image was not getting applied.
• Content with extremely long names was causing a horizontal scroll bar to appear in the Windows App. With this Windows App release, the content name will be displayed correctly without the need for the scrollbar.
