Measuring Success of a Ticker

OVERVIEW

Tickers allow a Content Administrator to send important headlines directly to employee’s desktops and mobile devices that have the SnapComms App installed.  The information is displayed as a scrolling news feed across the bottom or top of the employee's screen.

(NOTE: On mobile the headlines will appear as a bulleted list of items with no scrolling).

The SnapComms Ticker can be used in five different scenarios. Success and how it is measured will be explained in more detail below.

PREREQUISITES FOR TICKER SUCCESS CRITERIA

There are three main statuses that are recorded when a Ticker is published.

  • Downloaded – This is recorded once the SnapComms App has received the message

  • Read – Controls the recurrence settings.

  • Success – Once the criteria have matched, the Ticker will no longer scroll across the employee's screens.

The Ticker is still Available in the SnapComms App until the message expires (unless Remove when Read has been enabled).

SCENARIOS

A Ticker can be used in the following ways. The read and success for each scenario is listed below:

Ticker with a single headline and no URL link

  • When the last character of the headline has been displayed and the Ticker is manually closed by the employee

  • If a new message is manually opened via the SnapComms App

Ticker with multiple headlines and no URL links

  • When the last character of the last headline has been displayed and the Ticker is manually closed by the employee

  • If a new message is manually opened via the SnapComms App

Ticker with a single headline and URL link

  • The headline link is clicked on by the employee at which point the linked page will open and the ticker will automatically close.

  • If the ticker is manually closed after the last character of the last headline has been displayed but the link(s) have not been clicked

  • If a new message is manually opened via the SnapComms App

Ticker with multiple headlines and URL links

  • If the ticker is manually closed after the last character of the last headline has been displayed but the link(s) have not been clicked

  • If a new message is manually opened via the SnapComms App
