Delivery
Delivery options enable you to specify the mediums used to delivery your message. To access the delivery options, click on the Delivery button in the right hand summary menu.
By default, the delivery options are set to publish to all active SnapComms Apps (desktop and mobile).
Send Push Notification
Push Notification provides a prompt on a mobile phone alerting the mobile user that a new message has arrived in their SnapComms app. Push Notification must be enabled (for the SnapComms app) on the mobile device, otherwise the notification will be ignored by the mobile phone (users are prompted to allow or disallow Push Notification for SnapComms when installing the SnapComms mobile app, and can change these settings at any time via the general settings on their phone). Push Notification will only take place if mobile users are selected in your Targets.
To enable Push Notification click on the slider button on the left of Send push notification.
A text box is displayed containing (by default) the scenario name, which can be changed to what you want displayed in the Push Notification.
Send SMS
If licenced, you are able to send an SMS message to users who have a mobile phone number specified in the User Information profile within Users & Groups >> Users.
To send an SMS message, click on the slider button on the left of Send SMS.
Enter the text message that the recipient will see. Note: this does not pick up any details of the message content itself.
Send Email
If an SMTP server is configured in Content Manager (see SMTP Configuration) you can send email messages to any user that has an email address specified in the User Information profile within Users & Groups >> Users.
To send emails, click on the slider button on the left of Send email.
A text box is displayed for the subject and body of your email. The Email subject line field contains (by default) the scenario name which can be changed to what you want displayed in the email subject. You may want to add a link to the message in the Email body text field. The message link can be obtained via the Publish to web option below. Note: The email message will not include the main message itself but only the text entered here in Email body text.
Publish to Webhook
A message can be sent to a Webhook if you have integrated a Webhook into your SnapComms solution.
More information on Slack integration here.
More information on Zapier and other Webhook integrations here.
To enable publishing to a Webhook, click on the slider button on the left of Publish to webhook.
Select the Webhook provider you wish to use from the dropdown box. Only Webhooks you have integrated will be displayed. Enter the message you wish to send in the Message text box displayed.
Publish to Web
If you wish to send a link to the message via other mediums (e.g. Skype, Messenger, Email) you will need to make your message accessible to users on the internet. Some consideration should be made before doing this, as the message will be available publicly.
To enable your message to be accessed via the internet click on the slider button on the left of Publish to web.
A text box is displayed containing the link to the message. You may copy and paste this link into any medium. The link will not be accessible until the message is published.
